Private automatic branch exchange.
Basically it is from PBX but it is automated.

What is difference between PBX and PABX?

Previously we have the difference like automation.
Now all PBX are automated so they both are same.

PMBX:

Private manual branch exchange.
Employed operators manually switching each call using a manual switch board.


EPABX:

Electronic private automatic branch exchange.
Electronic exchange which is privately owned and automatic.

Advantages of PBX:

One time cost.
Feature rich.
Administrative control.

One time cost:

Cost paid to contractor at beginning of contract.

Administrative control:

Changes in work procedures such as safety policies, rules.

Disadvantages of PBX:

Costly to upgrade.
Requires additional employees to mange and maintain system unrelated business activity are difficult to manage.
