Depends on how you've set the resolution.

What is Intensity of Pixel?
Variable.

Intensity:
Power transferred to area.

How to calculate no of pixels?
Total =  Rows * Columns.

How Pixel is composed of?
Red, Green and Blue.

How many bits are used to represent each pixel?
Determines how many colors or shades.
1 bit per pixel   =    2  colors.
2 bit per pixel   =    4  colors.
3 bit per pixel   =    8  colors.
4 bit per pixel   =    16 colors.

How to calculate shade?
2 ^ bit per pixel.

What is the pixel resolution in smaller and larger monitor?
Sharpness is low in larger because same pixel is spread out.

Image Resolution:
Detail an image hold.
Higher resolution means more detail.

If chosen pixel is not accepted by that windows then it will be automatically reverted.

How can we change screen resolution to particular application?
Select the application in which you want  to change resolution.
And then select compatibility to change resolution after changing click on apply.

Why do we need to change certain application resolution?
In some computer some application have very high resolution it looks worst.

Printer Resolution:
How fine a printer can print.

How can we measure printer resolution?
Dots per inch.

What is Dots per inch?
No of physical dots of ink in a displayed on monitor.

What is PPI?
Pixel per inch.
No of pixels  printed in a document.

How many PPI can human eye can see?
300ppi.

How many DPI can human eye can see?
170 dpi.

How do you print displayed image?
For example if we have 150ppi image at 600 dpi then the pixel will be calculated as 600/150 = 4 rows of 4 dots.
That means pixel consist of 16 dots.
