Telegraph and Morse code

Telegraph:
It is the first form of electrical communication.
It is a character encoding used to transmit information through telegraphy machine.

Morse code:
It is a method of transmitting text information as a series of on-off tones, lights or clicks that can be directly understood by listener without any equipment.

History of Telegraph:
A french engineer constructed a communication with semaphore all over the french.
Morse constructed a system to communicate electronically with transmitter.


Working of Telegraph and Morse code:
Each Morse code symbol represents letter or alphabet in a unique sequence of dots and dashes.
Letter of words are separated by space equal to three dots.
Words are separated by space equal to seven dots.
Length of each character in Morse varies approximately inversely to its frequency.


Between two transmitter sequence of electrical current would be sent and received, while sequence of dots and dashes.


Advantages:
It is used in Amateur radio operators.
Pilots and navy.
